What to do in case of a breakdown on the way?

Oops, is the boat standing still on the water? Don’t worry, we are always ready to help you! Don’t heistate to call our emergency number in case of a breakdown, so that you can quickly enjoy your boat trip again.

The engine doesn’t start?

Are you unable to start the engine? Then check te following:

  • Is the security key inside? If not, put it inside.
  • Is the throttle in neutral? If not, put it in neutral.

The engine should start again and you can continue your boat trip.

Is the boat going slower or is the engine acting strangely?

Is the boat going less and less fast? Does the engine keep vibrating, squeking or stalling? Then something probably got into the screw. You can do the following (depending on the boat you are on):

  • Motor boat: first turn off the engine and look in the water to see if you see anything stuck in the screw. If you see a bag of plastic or plants, remove it from the propeller and you can continue your boat trip.
  • Sloop: put the sloop in full reverse for 10 seconds and then in full forward for 10 seconds. The bag cutter will then be activated and cut the bag loose.

No plastic or plants in the screw?

Do you see nothing in the engine? Then check the fuel tank. The fuel tank is located under the driver’s seat.

  • Check whether there is still gas in the tank by lifting it and feeling it. If not, please contact us on +31 (0)6 16 09 83 14.
  • Check whether the small screw cap on the fuel tank cap is open. If not, turn it open.
  • Check whether a fuel hose is connected to the red tank. If not, take the fuel hose from the container and connect it to the connector on top of the fuel tank. Squeeze the ‘ball’ a few times, located behind the driver’s seat.

Now start the engine. The boat should work again and you can continue your boat trip. If not, please contact us on
